We are so happy that we booked Undercover Live for our wedding reception at the historic Mission Inn. We went with the 6-piece band as to have both the male and female lead singers. They were simply amazing singing our favorite Motown era classics to today’s hit songs. They brought so much energy we had folks dancing up a storm all evening long. We absolutely LOVED our band for our wedding on Oct. 28, 2023 and would unequivocally recommend them. We talked to several other bands and were quite discouraged until we found George and his team. They are incredible to work with, extremely flexible and patient, and genuinely kind people, not to mention exceptionally talented. Our dance floor was packed the entire time the band was out there – there was even dancing during the dinner set! They brought such an incredible amount of energy, talent and diversity, playing everything from the 50s to today. We continue to receive compliments six weeks after our wedding and I know multiple guests who are hoping to use them at future events. We’ve been to three weddings since ours and I didn’t realize how important the band was until I compared our dance floor to those who have DJs. A band may be more expensive, but it is SO worth it. When we first started planning our wedding, this is the one thing my dad told us was worth splurging on. So we looked at a few different bands in the area. We decided to go see the band after seeing all the 5 star reviews on WeddingWire. We drove from LA to Laguna Beach last minute to hear them play. We were only going to stay an hour, 2 tops. We stayed almost 4 hours listening to them as we were having so much fun listening and watching how much fun the crowd was having. There were more people on the dance floor while they played then when the DJ took over on their break. The energy was fantastic! We immediately booked them and have been grateful we did everyday. We gave them a few songs we wanted to play and the genres we liked and let them choose what to play from that. Everyone, and I mean everyone who attended our wedding, to this day, keep telling us what an incredible band we chose. In fact, when they were done and the venue was closing up, everyone kept asking for and encore. Apparently even a bystander outside was trying to ask people at the wedding who the band was so they could hire them in the future. We had Undercover Live for our wedding in La Quinta on May 6 and believe me when I say they blew us all away. The music, the vibes and energy could not have been better. If I could give 10 stars I would!! Undercover Live was the first vendor I booked after we booked our date and venue and it was the absolute best decision. We booked them for our ceremony music (live guitarist), cocktail hour (jazz quartet), and reception (10 piece band). Guests were up and dancing before the dance floor was officially “open” which is ALWAYS a great sign. Worth EVERY last penny and looking back, I wish we had extended our reception so that we could have had more time with them on the dance floor. Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing the band was and we are still hearing about it weeks later. New hubs and I are already scheming on another event so that we can hire Undercover again!! Leading up to the wedding, George was a dream to work with – I had a few song requests that were not part of their repertoire, which were happily accommodated. The band NAILED them and made my wedding “soundtrack” dreams came true. They easily accommodated other requests we made and ultimately blew us away with their on stage presence and flair. Kept the party going! My husband and I were very selective in choosing our band and spent considerable time going around town listening to other bands. We saw Undercover Live play a 5 piece set at a small local bar and were blown away. We requested a contract that day for an 8 piece band and couldn’t be happier. The BEST Band, absolute pros. By far the best decision we made in the entire wedding planning process was hiring Undercover Live. We never saw them live and made our decision based off all of their amazing reviews and watching their videos on Instagram, and we’re SO GLAD we chose them. Our guests keep talking about how good the band was. They had every single person dancing, from 3 year olds to 70 year olds and everyone in between. Best Wedding Planning Decision Worth it! I can’t help but smile while reflecting on our experience with Undercover Live. We had the 8-piece band Undercover Live for our wedding reception at the Fullerton Arboretum’s Bacon Pavilion. We also had their solo saxophonist playing for our cocktail hour. There’s nothing like a saxophone to set the mood for the evening! These are top-notch musicians! They added an extra level of fun to a memorable celebration. Guests were dancing all night and they didn’t want the music to end. People were asking me for the band information throughout the night so that they could have them at their future events. The vocalists were high-energy and interacted with us and our guests to keep the party going. The band learned a song we requested for our first dance since it was not on their song list, and it sounded great! They are so talented, it could have been so easy for the night to be a performance about them, but they did just the right little things to keep it our celebration. We asked if they would accompany my father-in-law as he sang for the mother-son dance, they said yes, and backed him up musically. They also accommodated my husband when he texted them separately to surprised me with a serenade. It was so convenient that Undercover Live was our cocktail hour music, AV system, MC, dinner music, and reception dance band. Carla was one of the vocalists and the MC for the night. She took notes from our event timeline and worked with our event coordinator to tailor her MC’ing to us as a couple and our event schedule. George was our contact for the quote and planning process. He was responsive to our emails and helped guide us in planning how to incorporate the band into our reception timeline. The electronic contract and payment process was easy and straight forward. He was also very pleasant in communicating what we would need to provide at the venue to ensure we hosted the band well. If you are DIY planning your wedding like I did, here are some logistics to consider when planning to have Undercover Live at your wedding venue: we needed to provide the band with a green room (aka shared vendor room) for resting/changing in, vendor meals for the band members and the sound tech, a 16×20 foot stage, and power outlets at the rear of the stage (four 20-amp separate circuits, which we provided by working with our rental company to run extension cords from separate outlets to the stage). Absolutely incredible band!!! As a professional dancer, selecting a band for my wedding was so important! I went and listened to a couple of bands locally and was BLOWN away with the performance from Undercover Live Band! George is wonderful to work with and the band has a large list of songs to chose from. I am originally from Alabama and they did an amazing job of including Sweet Home Alabama at our reception. Undercover Live performed at my wedding, and it was all our guests could talk about! We ran into some weather, we planned on having them outside, and there was rain scheduled to start within the hour, so they had everything setup and had to slyly take everything down and move inside to a different location before the rain started. Not one person at dinner even noticed and they seamlessly moved to a new location in the middle of dinner. I never write reviews, but absolutely had to for Undercover Live. My wife and I got the 10-piece UCL band for our 225-person wedding back in August and could not have been happier. They were extremely professional and easy to work with from the start and so accommodating to our needs. George called a few weeks before the wedding to get a sense of the vibe/energy level we wanted and allowed us to request songs off of their already very extensive playlist. We gave them broad guidelines for the vibes we wanted for the ceremony, dinner and dancing, told them we wanted to PARTY, but that we wanted to make sure guests of all ages would be on the dance floor. They truly CRUSHED the wedding from start to finish. They were so fun, extremely talented, set the perfect mood during dinner, and hyped the crowd when it was time to dance. You can read reviews and watch YouTube videos but you never know the experience of the band you will get until the actual event and Undercover Live exceeded all of our expectations! UCL was the perfect wedding band. George is a gem to work with – very responsive, good suggestions when you ask but otherwise down to take care of everything. I totally get why all our other vendors recommend them (also love that those in the business think so highly of them). Nothing threw him off and everything was perfection – even down to making sure we had a mic for our officiant and for our friend who played violin for our ceremony. We hired Undercover for our 200 person wedding in October of 2021 (after moving it from May of 2021, which they were gracious with and accommodating), and it’s the best decision we ever made! The band is super professional and learned many songs for us that we wanted incorporated. We had a two-piece for our ceremony that people absolutely loved and still rave about. Packed dance floor!! It was a huge priority for my husband and me to be able to hire a live band rather than a dj for our wedding. After seeing Undercover Live at other weddings we knew the energy and fun their team adds to the event. George, the manager, suggested we work with Jukebox, one of their newer bands, because they fit in our budget and they were young and contemporary, but had a huge playlist of songs we wanted such as 60s, 70s and 80s. Our dance floor was literally packed the entire night! The whole group had huge energy, and some of my most favorite moments were on the dance floor with all my family and friends. It’s been two months and people are still telling us how great our wedding band (Grilled Cheese SoundWich) was! Organized, professional and very entertaining band. I hired the band Undercover for my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. As the Event Coordinator for a Homeowner’s Association, I was looking for a charismatic band to play at our annual event, Endless Summer. They were so easy to work with. Undercover Live was absolutely a highlight of our wedding. We received so many compliments on the band and the energy they brought to the wedding. They did a fabulous job mixing in songs that we had requested and reading the room. I cannot express how impressed we were with every aspect of the performance. Additionally, we found out after the fact that the band’s flight had gotten cancelled the morning of our wedding, yet they were still able to make it in time and absolutely kill it (with little to no time to rehearse). I’m sure that’s incredibly rare and unusual, but the fact that the band was able to adapt and go the extra distance for us, instead of phoning it in, speaks volumes more than any written review about their performance that night ever could. These guys were fantastic! They seriously made our wedding! We had Undercover perform at our wedding in July 2011 and again 3 weeks ago (July 2017) for my wife’s 40th birthday – they were exceptional in all regards! George is extremely pleasant to deal with and asks all the right questions to make sure that the event goes off without a hitch (what type of music, start/end times, special announcements to make and when to make them, etc.). The band (and particularly the lead singer) are excellent – they create a festive environment with a lot of energy. When we wanted a band for my wife’s 40th there was no question – it was going to be Undercover from the great performance at our wedding. They can cater to any size function (our wedding reception had 200+ people and the 40th bday party had 50 people – the band worked very well in both size venues. Plus George and all the band members were just genuinely nice people and very professional throughout both of our events – it made it so easy as i was running around taking care of bday logistics – they came in, set up and made it a great atmosphere. Candela did an amazing job performing at our wedding! Our guests raved about the music and asked where we found this amazing band. All of the band members were extremely professional. It was clear that they had done many, many events before ours. They played well, dressed well, and were very friendly with us and our guests. Maurice was an energetic and elegant emcee, especially during the grand entrance and wedding speeches. The band as a whole played an eclectic, exciting mix of new and old English and Spanish hits that had almost all of our crowd of 200 dancing for over 3 hours! At the end of the night, we didn’t want them to stop. The light music during dinner was very relaxing. The songs we requested for the bridal party entrance, our grand entrance, and father/daughter, mother/son dance were spot on. In fact, all of the songs they played sounded very good and you couldn’t even tell that the songs were being covered. Candela’s manager, George, was very responsive and worked with us to make sure our reception was everything we wanted it to be. The band is the one thing that our guests are still talking about in regards to the wedding. We are extremely happy with Candela’s performance and we highly recommend them for anyone interested in live music at their wedding or other event. We hope to see and hear them play again soon! We have been to a lot of weddings, and one of the things that can make or break a great wedding is the music/entertainment. After hearing them perform at another event there was no question in our minds that we would have them perform at our wedding reception. Second, the band is fantastic! I was literally the last of my close friends to get married and each of the guys (and their wives) in addition to all of our family have not stopped talking about how Undercover was quite possibly the best wedding band anyone has experienced to date! The lead singer absolutely killed it – she never missed a beat, was beautiful, friendly and had an amazing voice. The guests were dancing all night and literally left soaked in sweat. Sorry, but it’s true (and the best sign that everyone had a great time)! The guests were beaming from the experience. The sound tech even put together a playlist for the cocktail reception where each and every song was space related to match our venue and theme – Space Oddity, David Bowie; Drops of Jupiter, Train; Rocket Man, Elton John…the list goes on. I was really impressed that he had taken the time to prepare that, as it was not asked for but very much appreciated. Truly a lovely creative touch. I would highly recommend working with this band and I know I will hire them again for future events.

We originally saw Undercover Live at a friend’s wedding and they were great. Then, we went to see them at the SandPiper in Laguna Beach and they were amazing! Undercover Live was a complete home run for my private event. Earlier that week my client had a bad experience with a previous act. Undercover Live was a significant contributor to our hugely successful, fun-filled wedding at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. They rocked the whole night and kept the energy level at max level even as the crowd thinned out later in the evening. At one point, I looked around the ballroom as I was dancing and observed that every guest was on the dance floor, not a single person sitting down. Amazing!
Our Four Seasons wedding coordinator reported that Undercover Live was one of the best bands she has seen at her venue and remarked on the level of professionalism displayed by UL’s emcee (Carla). Undercover has an extensive song list and is sure to appeal to all generations. Believe me we had a wide range of ages at the wedding (from 3 to 85) and everyone, I mean everyone, was dancing.
In addition to all of the above, these guys were a great value. We received higher quotes from what appeared to be lesser bands, but we never felt for a second that we were sacrificing quality for value. UL’s performance at our wedding only reinforced this view. of course, as word gets out how awesome these guys are, they will no doubt be compelled to increase prices. So my advice to you is book UL ASAP!

This band will not let you down! We had the 6-piece band, which worked really well. They are professional and will definitely work with you. We had a couple of dinner games that we wanted to play, specific song requests, along with particular phrasing to announce our wedding party, and they ran them perfectly. Everyone was dancing from age 20-70. This band can sing any genre of music from hip hop, top 40s, pop, classics, 70s disco, etc. The best part is everyone in the band can actually sing. From the stunningly beautiful acoustic ceremony music, to the lively but sophisticated cocktail-hour entertainment, and finally, to the OFF THE CHARTS talent and energy they displayed at the reception, Undercover Live was the best choice I made for the entire wedding.
George was professional, responsive throughout the entire process, and amazingly flexible. I had a Jewish wedding and the band definitely knows how to play a kick-ass hora.

Undercover Live Entertainment was AWESOME! I knew I wanted a band after going to a few weddings with a live band, and I really noticed the difference in energy level. I found Undercover Live Entertainment just from the strong reviews online, and I was not disappointed. George was great to work with, honest, quick to reply, friendly, and even met us in person to sign the contract and answer any questions.
On the day of the wedding, the band was truly the life of the party. All my guests were dancing all night. My parents, kids, all my friends, and a lot of old people!! haha!! I even go to get up on stage and sing with the band one of my favorite songs, “Sweet Child of Mine,” by GNR. It was so fun, my wife and I had the time of our lives. After the wedding at sunday brunch, all my friends and family raved about the band! Can’t wait to see the wedding video.
When your planning on your wedding, you really just need 3 things, and everything else is filler. 1) Alcohol (open bar), 2) A great photographer (don’t skimp on this too), and a bonus would be a videographer (to really remember that day), and 3) a Live band!! (we had a 7 piece band, it was perfect!). You could probably say the 4th big thing would be food, but you and your guests won’t talk about the food too much after the wedding, but you will remember the awesome time partying all night if you had a great band, like Undercover Live Entertainment! Undercover Live performed for our wedding back on 6/28/14. While chatting with our guests, everyone was complementing how wonderful the band was. They tailored their songs and energy based on how the wedding was going. So when it was dinner time, they performed beautiful music that set the the dinner tone. And once dinner was over and people started moving around, they adjusted perfectly to get the party started.
The process before the wedding was very smooth. We had to fill out a form to discuss our music choices for the ceremony and they were very accommodating. Carla (lead singer) reached out a week before the wedding to go over details (how to pronounce names, songs, etc.) and that was very considerate. It shows their level of professionalism and how much they really care to make your event a good one. I communicated a lot with George too prior to the performance and he was also very professional, quick to respond and very courteous.

My wife and I recently got married in Oct and we knew we had to have a band, but didn’t know who. It took maybe 5 min of online research to find Undercover live and know that they were the ones we wanted at our wedding. I couldn’t be happier with the service we got from Undercover Live Entertainment From start to finish, George and the rest of the band were on top of things and very easy to work with. Once we signed them up, we inputted all of our information (bridal party names, first dance songs, cake cutting song, etc.) on a very easy to use web questionnaire. We then had a planning call a couple of weeks ahead of our wedding. George was flexible and able to add a number of songs to our play list that they normally don’t play. Additionally, we had a couple of group dances that we had planned where timing of the start and finish were critical. The band hit it every mark and the event turned out flawless. Additionally, Carla was absolutely fabulous as an MC. She kept everything right on schedule and did an amazing job. With Undercover Live Entertainment you aren’t just getting a wedding band, you are getting a production crew that knows how to work a reception. Finally, the music they play is great! We opted for a 7-piece with horn section as I think that adds a lot of elements to the sound. The band played timeless classics and modern songs that all our guests could enjoy. We were able to order advanced recordings of our first dance songs to practice with and he was able to deliver them to us within one week. His musicians (the trio for our ceremony and the pianist/singer for our reception) learned our music and performed flawlessly. We were very happy with the MC service provided by the pianist/singer, he was professional and classy – not at all what you’d think of when you think of a “wedding singer”. George came to our wedding to ensure that everything went smoothly. Even my request for the trio to “change the sound” of my processional song when I began to walk was executed to perfection, despite more specific or even musically relevant instructions. George understood and was very thorough in getting all the information he needed to make the music perfect throughout our wedding. These guys made my wedding truly magical and memorable — I can’t recommend them highly enough. Best dollars I spent on my wedding, by far. PS — George also hooked us up with DJ Chad for our after party. He was awesome — crazy-good dance music with awesome lighting effects. Highly recommend him as well.

My wife and I are so happy with the entertainment Undercover provided at our wedding! From the beginning they were extremely easy to work with. They had a wide range of music to choose from and they were very experienced and knowledgeable when it came to planning a reception timeline that would work with what we wanted. Carla did a great job as the MC of our 150-person reception. She knew just what to say and when to say it. She kept the party flowing effortlessly, on schedule, and brought a lot of energy. The music was also amazing. Several of my friends that happen to play in bands as well commented that Undercover was a really talented group. They brought a lot of enthusiasm to songs both old and new. We would strongly recommend Undercover to any couple planning a wedding. Additionally, we have seen them play in bars and restaurants and they perform very well in that atmosphere as well. I can’t say enough about them. They gave a great performance, were extremely professional, and from my research, very reasonably priced. You can’t go wrong!

Undercover provided the entertainment for our wedding this past weekend. It was a total success with much due credit to this band. We’ve been getting so much positive feedback for our wedding since. George was awesome throughout – he’s an excellent guitarist and band leader. Carla’s vocals blew the crowd away, and her stage presence as an MC is beyond outstanding. Being a drummer groom, I got a chance to sit in with the band to play a planned, but unrehearsed “Love Shack” and unplanned encore “Old Time Rock and Roll.” The drummer was super nice in getting me set up and he had really tight drum kit. My wife’s favorite songs were Bad Romance and the Madonna medley.

We would give more stars if we could! Undercover played for our August wedding in San Diego. We couldn’t rave enough about them! The band is what made our reception so amazing. Undercover rocked our wedding and all we can say is WOW! They learned our first dance, provided lighting, played the cocktail hour, dinner music and dancing after dinner. Carla did an amazing job as the MC. They were so good that at 11pm when the reception was supposed to end my father personally requested that they keep playing as long as the St Regis would let us go. The band agreed to continue playing and we shut it down at midnight when they finally kicked us out. Undercover was the highlight of the evening and we had the time of our lives. Undercover was the highlight of our reception – they are spectacular. We took several months to find a band; we didn’t want the traditional “wedding singer/band” that played tired run down music. We wanted quality sound, with a variety of music to rock the ages. I listened to their sound bites a dozen times before picking up the phone to call George. George blew me away – he was helpful and fun and very patient as I asked my bridal 5,000 questions. We were on the dance floor all night, but the “kick” was when we went back to review the candid snapshots of our guests dancing – so many hysterical and very “special” dance moves – the kind you get when people are legitimately having a good time…..priceless! Carla did such a nice job emceeing the event; your vocals are beautiful. George and the band were all about “showing our guests a good time” —we couldn’t have asked for more. I like many of the other guests have been asked for their number; we have a work event coming up soon, and I think Undercover might have to make it back to San Francisco 🙂 For those of you planning your wedding, let me say this – your wedding music sets the tone for the evening — seek out the best of the best. We found Undercover through Gigmasters and were skeptical at first. In the end, it was an easy process that turned out to be nothing short of incredible. George, Carla and the rest of the band were all amazing to work with and truly made our night. Every part of the process was smooth and easy and the reception was a complete blast largely in part to how solid Undercover was. They are ridiculously talented, sound amazing, and got the party started and kept it going all night. I must have had 50 people come up to me during the night to tell me how good they were. I will recommend them to everyone I know and could not endorse them any more highly.

We highly recommend Undercover!! They’re a talented group and very professional. WOW, WOW, WOW!! I would give them more stars if I could!! We knew Undercover was going to be incredible since we saw them perform before we booked, but they far exceeded our expectations. George & Carla were great leading up to the wedding, helping us with questions, timelines, etc. And then the day of, the setup & up lighting was awesome, Carla mc’d and knew exactly what to do even before we knew. They were awesome! We got compliments right on the dance floor about how talented they are and how much energy they all had. We only wish that they got to perform longer.
