Matt and Lindsay’s Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa wedding was quite memorable for us! It was something that we would fondly look back to years from now as it would evoke lovely memories. Why is that? The band’s flights got canceled at 5:00 in the morning! We were already getting crazy at the airport but thanks to South West Airlines, the band gained their sanity and arrived with one hour to spare!
Matt and Lindsay’s Wedding was held at Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia and was attended by their family and closest friends. The wedding has a rustic greenery feel to it with bright and vibrant spring colors to complement it, creating a perfect balance of romantic wedding goodness.
With a perfect wedding backdrop, you would expect the bride and groom to put their best foot forward when it comes to dressing up and boy we were not wrong! The bride looks divine in her ethereal Hailey Page peekaboo backless wedding dress while the dashing groom was spick and span in his tux courtesy of The Black Tux.
The bridesmaids on the other hand are a sight to behold in their Dusty Blue dresses while the groomsmen were equally dashing in their tuxedos.
Ceremony
The intimate ceremony was held at the Valencia Lawn which provided a spellbinding views of the glorious Camelbak Mountain. Everyone was holding their tears when it was time for the bride to walk down the aisle and almost all of the guests were drying their happy tears with a Kleenex in hand.
Reception
After the ceremony, guests were escorted to the Valencia Ballroom for the reception. The Ballroom provided a seamless transition from the outdoor ceremony to an indoor function.
Despite the reception being indoors, the Ballroom was given a touch of rustic greens to keep up with the theme. The bridal table was designed with running greens and flowers, table guests’ were filled with a greenery-inspired centerpiece, and the 5-tiered cake was made more beautiful with flowers and greens.
The bride and groom entered the Valencia Ballroom with their goofy dance steps which put everyone in high spirit, sharing a few good laugh in between. Not wanting to miss the action, Undercover Live Entertainment provided the music for Matt and Lindsay to enjoy as they romantically swayed to their First Dance as husband and wife. The Bride also shared an intimate dance with her dad while the groom led his mama to a fun yet meaningful dance.
At the end of it all, despite the fact that the band almost did not make it, Matt and Lindsay’s guests had a great time on the dance floor all night long. Just take a look at these photos and you’ll probably know what we are talking about.
What a night to remember!! Here is what the groom had to say about it:
Undercover Live was absolutely a highlight of our wedding. We received so many compliments on the band and the energy they brought to the wedding. They did a fabulous job mixing in songs that we had requested and reading the room. I cannot express how impressed we were with every aspect of the performance. I’m sure other couples will read Undercover’s reviews and see how amazing they are in terms of performance, but the thing that impressed me the most was their reliability. George was always easy to get in touch with and made the process so simple. Additionally, we found out after the fact that the band’s flight had gotten cancelled the morning of our wedding, yet they were still able to make it in time and absolutely kill it (with little to no time to rehearse). I’m sure that’s incredibly rare and unusual, but the fact that the band was able to adapt and go the extra distance for us, instead of phoning it in, speaks volumes more than any written review about their performance that night ever could.
