Undercover Live Entertainment got the chance to provide Laguna Cliffs Marriott wedding reception entertainment for our lovely couple Jennifer and Derek who tied the knot in style on 22nd of September 2018.

Our beautiful couple Jennifer and Derek had a typical, nondescript meeting on the evening of June 9th, 2015 at Beelman’s. They had a funny first interaction as Jennifer was on a serious conversation with her friend Larissa concerning the beards of hockey players (the LA Kings game was playing on TV on that fateful Tuesday night) and Derek couldn’t help but overhear, so he decided to join and jump in.
The two later discovered that they were actually neighbors on Spring Street as they just lived in adjacent buildings. Right from the start, Jennifer and Derek had an undeniable connection, a spark that was just too bright not to notice.
After dating for three years, Derek finally planned a surprise proposal for sweet Jennifer while they were on their first international vacation in Ireland. Derek has Irish blood so what better way to discover his roots than to explore this particular European country?
The engagement/proposal was one for the fairytale books! Derek and Jennifer were out and about on a carriage to explore the castle grounds and view Lough Corrib. Derek found a secluded spot on the lake, summed up his courage, got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course the answer was a resounding YES!

On the 22nd of September, 2018, after several months of wedding planning and brainstorming, Jennifer and Derek finally got to exchange their vows and rings.
Jennifer looked every inch of a glowing bride in her pulled-up hair and lace-y mermaid dress.
Derek on the other hand looked the part as a dashing groom in his suit and tie.
Aside from our beautiful couple, we couldn’t also stop gushing about their blush pink ceremony and reception set-ups, which were both easy on the eye. Kudos to Emily Reno of Wedding and Events by Emily for pulling off this gorgeous crisp wedding look and Lynne Lucente Floral Designs for the vibrant flowers.
The three-tiered white cake accented with blush pink roses from It’s All About Cake on the other hand is quite simply a stunner!
As a prefered vendor for Laguna Cliffs Marriott Wedding Reception Entertainment, we made sure that Jennifer and Derek as well as their guests would absolutely enjoy the time of their lives! And mind you, we did not disappoint as most of the guests were busting their dance moves during the reception and after party.
But what made this wedding so special was an email I received from one of the guests. Sharing to you this beautiful, heartfelt email which overwhelmed and warmed our hearts:
“Hello,
Two weeks ago you played at my cousin, Derek and Jennifer’s wedding at the Dana Point Marriott. I’m sure you do this at many of your weddings, but I wanted to share how special you made this moment. You singled out my step-dad during your Billy Jean song to come on stage. What you didn’t realize is that he was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer 3 weeks ago and it has been a heavy time in our family. The cancer has spread to his spine and he is in constant pain. I was surprised to see him on the dance floor, but he loves to dance and he told me that he’ll “pay for it later”. He is quite the dancer and I was not surprised you singled him out. You did your thing then brought my mom on stage. It was such a special moment that I was able to film and one we will remember forever.
Thank you for being so amazing and bringing this joy to our family.”
